Alexandria Tournament Updates

By Tom Kleffner, 12/01/17, 9:00AM CST

Couple of updates for the Alexandria Tournament this weekend.

  • Saturday:  All White
  • Sunday:  All Blue

Game Arrival Times:

  • One of tournament rules states that the game can start up to 30 minutes prior to the scheduled time, which did happen to some Blaine teams last year.
  • As a result please plan to arrive 40 minutes prior the scheduled game time.
    • For example, 1st game Saturday is at 1:00 PM please plan to be at Discovery Middle School by 12:20 PM.

Holiday Inn Information:

  • Blaine's Traveling Tournament Director received the following message from the management at the Holiday Inn.  Use the information as needed.

Hi Troy-

We host many different sports groups, and we often see decorations on the guest room doors.  We are fine with this, but ask that you please use PAINTERS TAPE to attach signs on the doors.  Other tapes have a tendency to pull the paint off the doors.  I appreciate your consideration in this area.

I also wanted to give you a heads-up that the hotel is sold out this weekend, and we are expecting a lot of traffic in the Rudy’s restaurant.  If you are planning on dining with us, or planning on ordering pizzas to go, it would be recommended, and greatly appreciated, if you would call ahead to make a reservation, or place your order.  If you have a group over 20 guests, the restaurant will ask that you reserve a private room, so that would need to go through our sales office, instead of the restaurant.  Anything 20 or less can make a reservation with the restaurant directly. With advance planning, we can provide you with much quicker and efficient service.  You can call and speak to our Rudy’s staff by calling 320-763-6577 and ask for Rudy’s, or feel free to email me, and I will be happy to pass the information on to them.

Thanks, and have a great rest of the day!

That is all for now, safe travels and see you all up in Alexandria!
