The Blaine Youth Girls Basketball Board is excited to get the new season underway!
Our in-house program is part of the Twin Cities Youth Basketball League.
Games are hosted by the communities in the league but most of our games are played at Blaine, Anoka, and Spring Lake Park schools.
Teams will have three days of basketball per week consisting of two games and 1-2 practices. If games are double headers on Saturdays they will have two practices that week. If they have two games on two different days they will only have one practice that week.
In-house practices start the week of October 4th and games will start on October 16/17th. There will be no games Oct. 23/24 (MEA) and Nov. 27/28 (Thanksgiving).
There are a total of 12 games plus the end-of-year tournament in mid-December (no tournament for 2nd grade).
A question we get asked frequently is what are the differences between our in-house program and our traveling program. Here are the key differences between these programs.
If your daughter enjoyed the in-house season and wants to keep playing, consider our travel lite program! This program is for in-house players that want to extend their basketball season and get a feel for the traveling experience. Here are the highlights of the program:
The BYB Scholarship provides financial assistance for those wishing to play basketball in the Blaine Youth Basketball Association. The scholarship application is provided below.
The BYB Girls Board is looking for additional board members. Elected Board members serve a two year term. Board member roles are listed on our website and are assigned annually by the board members.
