Important Changes to the Traveling Registration Process
There will only be ONE registration this year for traveling players. In previous years the traveling registration process required two registrations - an in-house registration and then a traveling registration after traveling try outs. At times this created confusion and resulted in a mad rush of registrations after try outs. To simplify the process there will only be one registration this year.

If you know your player wants to play traveling basketball this year and will be attending traveling try outs, you only need to register once using the traveling registration.

If a registered traveling player is not offered a roster spot on a traveling team after try outs, or if a player decides not to attend try outs because she only wants to play in-house, then you will be refunded the $100 fundraising fee and $200 of the traveling registration fee ($300 total refund). The player will then be placed on an in-house team.

Important Changes to the Traveling Registration Fee
The traveling registration fee for the 2017-18 season is $350 ($15 more than last year). The fundraising fee will be the same for traveling players ($100).

There will be a $25 late fee if you register AFTER September 10th.

Girls Traveling Program Information

Travel basketball is designed to give girls in 4th-8th grade the opportunity to play against stronger competition and requires a greater commitment of time and effort. The travel season runs from October to the MYAS State Tournament in early March. Teams will usually practice two nights a week at various gyms throughout the area. Most teams will compete in 8-12 weekend tournaments. Tournaments will be within the metro area with the exception of one overnight out of town tournament.

Team Formation
Tryouts will be held in mid September. Following tryouts teams will be assigned with 8-10 players depending on participants as well as skill level. The number of teams at each grade will be determined by the number of participants and skill level as well.

6-Hour Volunteer Commitment
Parents of all travel players are expected to volunteer 6 hours during the Blaine Youth Girls Tournament which will be held February 17-18. In addition to the registration fee,  a volunteer check for $150 will be collected. Checks will not be cashed until the end of the season and ONLY IF you do not fulfill your 6-hour volunteer commitment. We do not want to cash your check! We need volunteers so our goal is to get your time - not your money!

Traveling Fees (2016-17 season)
Traveling Registration Fee: $335
Fundraising Fee: $100 (see details below)
Full Uniform: $80
Total Fees: $515

Fundraising Fees

Traveling players pay a required $100 fundraising fee with their registration.  The fundraising fee covers 20 Raffle tickets, which can be sold to recoup your fee. Additional fundraising tickets can be purchased to help offset your costs even more.  Fundraising fees are per family (not per athlete and there is a $100 max. per family).
